SideDisplay does not collect, store, or transmit any data from your MacBook screen, Tesla vehicle, or local network. All display streaming occurs directly between your devices over your local network.
We want to be transparent about what we do not collect: we do not collect usage analytics or telemetry data, screen content or display data, location or GPS data, device identifiers or hardware information, browsing history or cookies, or any data from your Tesla vehicle.
The limited information we process is used exclusively for processing and managing your purchase and license, providing customer support when you contact us, and sending important product updates such as critical security patches or major version releases (only if you opt in).
We use Lemon Squeezy as our payment processor and merchant of record. When you make a purchase, Lemon Squeezy collects and processes your payment information in accordance with their own privacy policy. We do not have access to your full credit card or payment details. SideDisplay connects to your Tesla's in-car browser over your local network. We do not access, collect, or process any data from your Tesla vehicle. SideDisplay is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Tesla, Inc.
Since SideDisplay collects minimal data, our data storage footprint is equally minimal. Purchase records and license information are managed by Lemon Squeezy and stored securely on their infrastructure. Any support communications (such as emails) are stored securely and retained only as long as necessary to resolve your inquiry.
We retain your purchase and license information for as long as your license is active and as required by applicable laws. Support correspondence is retained for up to 24 months after your last interaction unless you request earlier deletion.
